Project overview:

Zhongshan Park is located south of the Forbidden City (The Forbidden City) in the heart of Beijing, on the west side of Tiananmen Square, across a wall from the Forbidden City. Covering an area of 230,000 square meters, is a monumental classical temple garden. It was originally the social altar of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and together with the Tai Temple (present-day People's Cultural Palace) along with the "Left Zu-Right Society" since the Zhou Dynasty.
In 1925, Mr. Sun Yat-sen died, and a public ceremony was held in the garden of the Temple (present-day Zhongshan Hall). In honor of this great pioneer of democratic revolution, it was renamed Zhongshan Park in 1928. The main building of the garden is located in the center of the axis, the altar is square, for the han baiyu three-story platform. The altar is covered with five colored earths from all over the country: Central Yellow, East Qing, South Red, West White, North Black, to express the meaning of "under the heavens, no more than king earth", and symbolizes the five lines of earth, wood, fire, gold, water. The original square stone pillar in the center of the altar, known as "the main stone of the society", also known as "Jiangshan stone", to show "Jiangshan Yonggu". The altar is built around the four-color glass wall, east blue, south red, west white, north black, all four sides of the Han-White Jade Star Gate, especially solemn Mu. The north of the altar of the "worship temple" also known as the temple or altar, is a grand wooden building, five rooms wide, into the deep 3, yellow glass tile, single-eaves temple roof, white stone foundation, no ceiling. Bright exposed beam racks and arches, painting and painting. This is the most completely preserved Ming Dynasty building. In 1925, Mr. Sun Yat-sen's coffin was parked in this temple. Accept condolences from all walks of life. In 1928, by Feng Yuxiang under the then special mayor of Beiping He Qigong and other patriots proposed and presided over the name of Zhongshan Hall.
